At this appointment you will have a better idea on the timeframe of your treatment and if any additional items are needed (attachment placement, interproximal reduction, progress scans, etc). We want to make sure you are going to like the end result before you commit.
- Custom Aligners: After approval of the treatment plan, Dr. Acosta will fabricate the designed series of custom aligners that fit your teeth precisely. These aligners are made from smooth, comfortable plastic and are clear, so no one will even notice you’re wearing them.
- Wearing Your Aligners: You’ll wear each aligner for about 20–22 hours a day, only removing them when eating, drinking, brushing, or flossing. As you progress through your set of aligners, your teeth will gradually shift into the desired position.
- Regular Checkups: Every 6–8 weeks, you’ll return to The Dental Workshop for checkups. During these visits, Dr. Acosta will monitor your progress and provide you with your next set of aligners. These checkups are quick and easy, with little disruption to your routine.
- Completion and Retainers: Once your treatment is complete, you’ll have a beautifully straight smile! To maintain the results, you’ll need to wear a retainer, which ensures your teeth stay in their new positions. Retainers are also clear and comfortable, making them easy to wear.
